Smart design maximizes every inch
Real wood shelves (not wire), soft-close drawers, and hardware that lasts. Your closet should feel as good as it looks.
Closets are just the start. We also design pantries, mudrooms, offices, and garage storage with the same attention to detail.
Plywood box construction, not particle board
Dovetail drawer boxes
Soft-close hardware rated for daily use.
A walk-in needs roughly four feet of clear floor between hanging on one side and a wall, and around six to seven feet if you want hanging on both sides. Below that, a well-designed reach-in usually holds more.
A reach-in of the same square footage almost always stores more, because a walk-in spends floor area on standing room. A walk-in is worth it when you want to dress in the space rather than just store in it.
Count what you own rather than guessing. Shirts and folded trousers need about an inch of rod each, jackets closer to two, and coats and dresses need a full-height section rather than double-hang. We measure this at the consultation.
Wire sags under folded stacks and leaves ridges in anything soft. Wood holds a flat load, takes a drawer or a pull-out, and does not have to be replaced when the closet is reconfigured.
